Laura Sue Phillips has exhibited her work nationally and internationally for fifteen years, most notably one-person exhibitions at el Museo de Arte de Caguas in Puerto Rico and at Eich Space in Manhattan. Awards include an AIM residency at the Bronx Museum of the Arts, and an international printmaking residency at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute on the island of Mauritius. Phillips teaches undergraduates at Hunter College, and has also taught at the New School University and Pace University in New York City. Her work has been reviewed in Artforum and the New York Times, and she is included in the collections of the Edward Albee Foundation, el Museo de Arte de Caguas, and the Loews and Carrols Corporations. She lives and paints in Brooklyn. |
